Visitor Programs for Summer 2008 Twilight Garden Walk - August 15 (rain date August 22) 6:30 pm The formal gardens of Westbury House are the perfect setting for a romantic escape. A landscape tour concludes with desserts and music at sunset, 6:30 pm, registration and prepayment required, $16.00; $14.00 members. 48th Annual Scottish Games - August 23- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - With bagpipes, caber tossing, and highland dancing, the Scottish Games is one of the highlights of our season. It is believed that the games were begun by the ancient highland chieftains to help them select the strongest men for their armies. The Long Island Scottish Clan MacDuff, co-host of the event, always provides lots of entertainment during this daylong festival. Join us for the Grand Opening Ceremony at 12:30 pm as the bagpipers march down the North Lawn to open the games. One of the highlights of our season. Special Games admissions: $15 adults; $10 over 62; $5 Children & Members; Children 6 and under free. Rain or Shine. Fall Porsche Concours - September 7 (rain date September 14)- 9:00 am - 3:00 pm - Mid-1950's to top current model Porsches will be on display.
