Chambers Players International Presents the Long Island Mozart Festival  (August 29 - September 1) 10:00 am - 7:00 pm - click for full schedule This wonderful festival features the finest in musical and dance performances a well as arts, crafts, historic dancing and food specialties and activities for young people.

All admissions include the house and gardens. General Admission: $10; Seniors: $8; Children: 7-12 $5, Children 6 and under: Free; Old Westbury Gardens members: $5; Tent Seating: $25

Tai Chi Every Wednesday 10:30 am – 11:30 am Tai chi a unique form of “moving meditation” calms the mind, relaxes the body and strengthens the spirit. Much of tai chi is practiced slowly and gently, ideal for people of all ages and health conditions. Its fluid movements are based on movements in nature, which makes Old Westbury Gardens for sessions. Sessions taught by Linda Cafiero are designed for all experience levels. Participants should wear comfortable clothing. Registration required.  $15 per session; $5 members (weather permitting).

Yoga Workshop Every Thursday, 11:00 am - 12:15 pm Why train in a stuffy gym when you can exercise alongside nature in the awe-inspiring gardens?  Professional Kripalu Yoga instructor, Lorili Henry, will lead students through a dynamic, yet gentle, continuous flow of postures and conscious breathing.  Students are encouraged to work at their own pace.  There is no better way to relax in the Gardens!  Registration and prepayment required.  $15 per session; $5 members.  Participants must bring a yoga mat, yoga strap, and towel.

Twilight Garden Walk 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm The colorful formal gardens of Westbury House are the perfect setting for a romantic escape. This informative landscape tour concludes with seasonal desserts and music at sunset. Reservations and prepayment required. $16; $14 members.

Kidsfest  11:00 pm – 4:00 pm A day of family fun at the Gardens. Includes great music for kids and adults, face painting, cool crafts, petting zoo, birds of prey, story-telling, kid's yoga, children's garden tours and much more!! Free with grounds admission. Rain or shine. In the event of rain, all activities will be under a tent and indoors.

Special musical guests include:

Heather Forest - 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, & 2:30 pm - musical folktales from around the world. .

Astrograss - 1:30 pm - A quirky mix of bluegrass, folk & humor. Highlights of the show include dance contests set to high-energy fiddle hoedowns, musical interpretations of the poetry of Shel Silverstein, and sing-alongs to some of the most beloved songs of all time. .

The Dirty Sock Funtime Band - 3:00 pm - Voted the BEST KIDS BAND of 2006 by the readers of TIME OUT NYC KIDS, they're "infectious", they're "irresistible", they're the DIRTY SOCK FUNTIME BAND, the highest-energy kids' rock band ever to break out of NYC!! (As seen on Noggin's "Jack's Big Music Show"). .

Poetica Musica 8:00 pm  Artists-in-residence at Old Westbury Gardens perform chamber works in the Red Ballroom.  At 6:45 pm, join a guided tour of the Gardens or Westbury House; 7:30 pm, pre-concert talk. A Meet-the-Artists reception will follow the concert. Registration and pre-payment required. $25; $20 Members, Seniors & Students w/ID.

Young Musician’s Concert 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Pre-collegiate students from the region’s premier music schools perform in the Red Ballroom. Seating is limited. Tickets available at Westbury House on day of concert.
