Tai Chi Every
Wednesday 10:30 am – 11:30 am Tai chi a unique form of
“moving meditation” calms the mind, relaxes the body and
strengthens the spirit. Much of tai chi is practiced
slowly and gently, ideal for people of all ages and
health conditions. Its fluid movements are based on
movements in nature, which makes Old Westbury Gardens
for sessions. Sessions taught by Linda Cafiero are
designed for all experience levels. Participants should
wear comfortable clothing. Registration required. $15

alongside nature in the awe-inspiring gardens?
Professional Kripalu Yoga instructor, Lorili Henry, will
lead students through a dynamic, yet gentle, continuous
flow of postures and conscious breathing. Students
are encouraged to work at their own pace. There is
no better way to relax in the Gardens!
Registration and prepayment required. $15 per
session; $5 members. Participants must bring a yoga mat,
yoga strap, and towel.
On Independence Day, Old Westbury
Gardens will celebrate America’s first day of being free
with a free day. Courtesy of Capital One Bank and
Lambrides Lamos Moulthrop LLC, there will
be no admission fees to Old Westbury Gardens on July 4.
Bring a picnic lunch (no fires) or enjoy hot dogs and
burgers at our Café in the Woods.
North Shore
Concert Band
will
entertain at 1:00 pm. Kids’ events include nature tours and craft
making. At our Plant Shop, all plants will be 50% off.
Enjoy a guided tour of Westbury House, our magnificent
100 year old mansion, furnished in priceless furnishings
and art. Or simply relax on the grounds of our 200 acre
estate covered with meadows, lakes, wooded paths, and
indescribable gardens.

- For the season's first concert, cellist Suzanne
Mueller, Beech Tree Concerts Artist-in-Residence, is
joined by the versatile Joseph Rutkowski, Jr. on
clarinet and accordion. The program ranges from
Bach and Beethoven to Celtic tunes, jazz and tangos and
includes the premiere of composer Roger Blanc's clarinet
cello arrangement of his work "Duopoly."
